Local Mission Nursing Home Receives National Award for

Excellent Eldercare

Rep. Sergio Munoz, Jr. Reads Resolution on House Floor in

Recognition of Senior Care Mission Nursing & Rehabilitation

(Austin, TX) “ Facility administrator of Senior Care Mission Nursing & Rehabilitation, Isabel Flores, was presented a resolution by State Representative Sergio, Muñoz, Jr. on the floor of the House of Representatives today, in recognition of the local Mission nursing home receiving an award for the delivery of excellent care to elderly patients.

Senior Care Mission Nursing and Rehabilitation is very proud to be recognized for the excellent level of skilled nursing care our dedicated staff provides our seniors, said Flores. It is an honor to receive the award from the American Health Care Association (AHCA) and equally an honor to be recognized by Representative Muñoz, today.

The Quality Initiative Recognition Program is designed to recognize AHCA nursing center members that demonstrate the attainment of AHCA Quality Initiative goals. Specifically, Mission Nursing & Rehabilitation is recognized for safely reducing both hospital re-admissions of patients and the off-label use of anti-psychotics.

AHCA commends you and your staffs proven commitment to quality, demonstrated by your attainment of the Quality Initiative goals, AHCA states in the award notification to the facility. Your accomplishment means improving the lives of the individuals you serve, which is what the Quality Initiative is ultimately about.

Senior Care Mission Nursing and Rehabilitation accepted the quality initiative award at the AHCA 2015 Quality Symposium held earlier this year in Austin.

Reading the resolution on the House floor, Rep. Muñoz noted, Mission Nursing and Rehabilitation Center provides important services to patients and their families, and its exemplary record of achievement and dedication to continued improvement are indeed deserving of special praise.

Muñoz also stated, Providing the compassionate, effective skilled nursing care for our elderly Texans is a noble calling and Im proud to recognize Mission Nursing and Rehabilitation for elevating the quality of care our seniors deserve.
